Polaris Industries Inc. is recalling approximately 640 Model Year 2023–2025 Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar and Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar Crew recreational off-road vehicles (ROVs) sold by Polaris dealers nationwide from August 2022 through March 2025. The recalled vehicles were sold in multiple colors and configurations (three-seat and six-seat models).

The lower seat belt anchor fasteners on these vehicles were not properly tightened. If fasteners are loose, the seat belt can separate from the vehicle frame during a crash, failing to restrain riders and potentially causing them to be ejected from the vehicle, which poses an injury hazard.

Polaris has identified two vehicles with loose seat belt fasteners in the field. No injuries have been reported to date. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ROVs and contact an authorized Polaris dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair. Alternatively, owners may continue to operate the vehicles only after conducting their own inspection using Polaris's Seat Belt Fastener Verification Instructions (available on the firm's website) to confirm that fasteners are secure.
