The North Face Women's Shellista V Mid Waterproof Boots Fall Hazard
The North Face Women's Shellista V Mid Waterproof Boots are being recalled because the hook on one boot can catch the laces of the other boot, creating a fall hazard. The company has received 28 reports of the hook catching laces, including 15 reports of minor injuries.
What this means for you
Minor labeling or packaging issue, or a voluntary precautionary recall. Risk of harm is low but real — follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Our severity reasoning: Although 15 minor injuries have been reported, this is a voluntary product safety recall for a mechanical defect (lace-catching hook) that does not involve a high-risk pathogen, allergen mislabeling, or structural vehicle defect. The reported injuries are minor and the hazard is a fall risk rather than a critical health threat, placing it in the Moderate category.
