Seven incidents of battery overheating, smoking, melting, or igniting have been reported. One incident resulted in a fire that caused a burn injury and substantial property damage to a residential apartment building.

Consumers who purchased these scooters should immediately stop using and charging them. Cut the throttle cord and dispose of the entire product following local and state hazardous waste disposal procedures. Lithium-ion batteries must not be thrown in regular trash or placed in used battery recycling boxes at retail stores—they must be handled as hazardous waste.
