Crosman Icon Air Rifles Recalled Due to Unexpected Discharge Injury Hazard
Crosman is recalling about 2,500 Icon Air Rifles because an uncocked and loaded rifle can discharge unexpectedly if jolted or dropped, posing an injury hazard. One unintended discharge has been reported, though no injuries have occurred.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: This is a risk-of-harm product (air rifle with unexpected discharge hazard) where injury has not yet been reported, fitting the High severity criterion. Although one unintended discharge occurred, no injuries resulted, and the source explicitly states "No injuries have been reported."
