Tommy Bahama Children's Pants Sets Recalled for Choking Hazard

TJX Companies Inc. is recalling Tommy Bahama brand children's pants sets sold exclusively at Marshalls stores nationwide from December 2023 through February 2024. The recalled product consists of brown stretch twill pants with rib cuffs sold as part of a set with either a blue or green butter fleece crewneck top featuring an embroidered winking smiley face on the left shoulder. Approximately 14,500 units were sold in the United States, with about 720 additional units sold in Canada. The pants were sold in sizes 18M to 5T, with prices of $13 for the set with green top and $15 for the set with blue top.

The plastic pieces on the end of the pants' faux drawstrings can come loose and fall off, posing a choking hazard to children. No injuries have been reported. The recalled pants bear a sewn-in label printed with "Suzhou Megatex Import And Export" and style number CP08513; only the pants in the set are included in the recall.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled pants away from children and cut off the faux drawstrings to eliminate the hazard. Consumers can also contact TJX at 888-627-7425 (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday) or email [email protected] for instructions on how to destroy the pants and obtain a full refund.
