Vornado Air Recalls SRTH Small Room Tower Heaters Due to Fire Hazard

Vornado Air is recalling about 1,450 SRTH Small Room Tower Heaters due to a manufacturing wiring error that can cause the heater to overheat and pose a fire hazard. No injuries have been reported.

Plain-English summary

Vornado Air LLC is recalling approximately 1,450 SRTH Small Room Tower Heaters. The recalled heaters have a miswiring due to a manufacturing error which can cause the tower heater to overheat, posing a fire hazard.

The affected heaters are black, measure approximately 12.5 inches high by 6 inches wide by 6 inches in diameter, and have two heat settings (low and high) plus a fan-only setting. "Vornado" with a red "V" is displayed on the front of the unit. Only units with a "JUL22" date code are included in this recall. The date code appears on the silver rating label on the bottom of the heater as the first five digits of the serial number.

The heaters were sold at Bed Bath & Beyond and other stores nationwide, as well as online at Amazon.com and other websites, from November 2022 through December 2022 for approximately $50. No injuries have been reported.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled heaters. Vornado is offering a full refund. Consumers can register for the recall and receive a refund by visiting www.vornado.com and clicking "Product Recalls" or going to www.vornado.com/recalls, or by calling Vornado toll-free at 844-205-7978 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday.
