Battat is recalling B. toys Light-Up Firefly Teether Glowy Chews - Firefly Frank, which are colorful plastic infant teethers shaped like a firefly. The teethers are blue, green, and red and light up when shaken. The recall involves about 61,000 units sold in the United States and about 210 units sold in Canada.
The plastic wings on the teethers can detach from the body or break off, creating a choking hazard for young children. Battat has received 14 reports of the wings detaching or pieces breaking off, including one report of a child choking on a broken piece of the wing.
These teethers were sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com from July 2019 through February 2021 for between $6 and $10. Consumers should immediately take the recalled teethers away from young children and return them to any Target store for a full refund, or contact Battat to return them by mail for a full refund.
