The affected products were sold at discount department and juvenile specialty stores nationwide from June 2006 through January 2007 for between $1 and $3. The products were manufactured in China. Kids II has received 24 reports of the plastic ring cracking or breaking and the beads becoming detached, but no injuries have been reported.
