Lifetime Products Recalls 6-Foot Seminar Tables Due to Injury Risk

Lifetime Products is recalling 6-foot seminar tables because the brace arms may fail to lock, causing the table to collapse and posing an injury risk.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a risk-of-harm product (table collapse) where injury has not yet been reported, which aligns with the 'High' severity criteria in the rubric.

Plain-English summary

Lifetime Products Inc. is recalling approximately 43,000 6-foot Seminar Tables, model #80176. The recalled tables feature gray metal frames and white plastic tops, measuring 6 feet long by 18 inches wide by 28 inches high. A green product ID sticker on the underside of the table displays the model number and the year and chronological day of manufacture, followed by a two-digit factory code. The recalled units were manufactured between August 7, 2016, and June 23, 2020.

The recall is being issued because the brace arms on these tables can fail to lock the table legs into place. If the brace arms do not lock properly, the table can collapse, posing an injury risk to consumers. Lifetime Products has received one report from a consumer identifying 11 tables with brace arms that were not properly locking into place. No injuries have been reported.

The tables were sold online at Amazon.com, Costco.com, Samsclub.com, and other websites, as well as at Lifetime Stores in Utah and Idaho, from August 2016 through November 2020 for about $90. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled seminar tables and contact Lifetime Products for a free repair bracket.
