The recalled choppers were sold at Sam's Club locations nationwide from October 2009 through December 2009 for about $25. The hazard exists because pieces of the chopper's metal blades can break off during use and fall into the food being prepared. Lifetime Brands has received three reports of blades breaking off during use, including one report of minor cuts to a consumer's mouth when a small piece of blade became lodged in food that had been sliced by the chopper.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled choppers and return them to any Sam's Club for a full refund. Sam's Club is directly contacting consumers who purchased the recalled choppers.
