The recall involves metal, cylinder canisters that are silver with a black cap and feature the SODA SENSE logo on the front. Only cylinders with two indented rings on the bottom are subject to this recall. These canisters were sold online at www.SodaSense.com from May 2020 through June 2020 for about $21.
The recall is due to a hazard where a valve in the canister can break, allowing CO2 to forcefully eject the top valve. This poses an injury hazard to consumers. SODA SENSE has received 18 reports of the top valve ejecting, resulting in minor property damage, such as damage to home soda machines or surrounding fragile items like glasses and plates. No injuries have been reported.
