The recall involves devices with black handle grips that were originally recalled in April 2014 but were resold at Burlington Stores nationwide from January 2019 through March 2019 for about $7. The devices are about 3 feet long with hard plastic black handle grips and two black nylon straps.

The handle grips on each end can break during use, causing parts to be forcefully ejected from the shaft. This poses a risk of injury from impact to the user or bystander. Ontel received 10 reports of handles breaking and internal parts ejecting during the original 2014 recall, including five reports of impact injuries resulting in punctures and lacerations. No new incidents have been reported since the original recall.
