A&I is recalling steel tractor canopies sold in green, blue, orange, red, and dark red. These canopies are sold as separate attachments that bolt to a tractor's Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) and include mounting brackets and hardware. The recall involves about 6,200 units in the United States and about 265 units in Canada.

The recalled canopies do not meet design specifications. This defect can cause the tractor's ROPS to fail to protect the operator in a rollover accident, posing an injury hazard. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

The canopies were sold by John Deere dealers and non-John Deere resellers nationwide from September 2016 through April 2018 for about $350. Consumers should immediately stop using tractors with a recalled canopy and contact an authorized John Deere dealer for a free repair.
