The recall is due to a hazard where the wheel's plastic rims can break when overinflated, posing a laceration or injury hazard. The firm has received five reports of injuries, including lacerations to the face, hand, and wrist.

The hand trucks were sold at Home Depot and Lowe's nationwide and online at homedepot.com and lowes.com from August 2007 through April 2010 for about $65. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled hand trucks and contact Gleason to obtain replacement wheels.
