The affected units have serial numbers beginning with 1GXZ and were manufactured between August 10, 2015, and September 9, 2015. These mowers were sold nationwide through John Deere independent dealers from August 2015 through November 2015 for between $4,800 and $6,500.
The recall is being issued because a fuel hose could have been cut during the manufacturing process. This defect allows fuel to leak, which creates a fire hazard. John Deere identified four reports of cut fuel hoses during manufacturing and is directly contacting all registered owners of the recalled units. No incidents or injuries have been reported.
