Precision Trading Corp. is recalling about 4,700 units of its PREMIUM® four-cup Espresso Makers, model number PEM585. The recalled units were manufactured in September 2014 and November 2014 and have product date codes "0914" or "1114" printed on a rating label on the bottom of the unit. The Premium logo is printed on the bottom front. Espresso makers with "2015" marked on the cap are not included in this recall.

The recall is due to a risk of burns. The filler cap at the top of the unit can crack and allow steam to escape, or it can pop off unexpectedly due to pressure buildup, posing a risk of injury to bystanders. The firm has received one report of a consumer who sustained burns to her arm when the cap unexpectedly released steam.

The espresso makers were sold at BrandMart U.S.A. and other retail stores in Florida and Puerto Rico between November 2014 and February 2015 for about $30. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled espresso makers and contact Precision Trading Corp. to request a free replacement cap.
