Plain-English summary

The Land of Nod is recalling approximately 1,500 iron bed frames in twin and full sizes. The recalled styles include the white "Iron Sleigh," the white or antique white "Petal" with a large flower design, and the dark gray "Picket" with horizontal ladder-style head and footboards. These beds were sold at The Land of Nod retail stores or online from May 2008 to June 2012 for between $450 and $650 depending on size.

The recall is due to an entrapment hazard posed by the openings in the headboard and footboard to young children. The firm has received one report of a 20-month-old becoming entrapped in the footboard of an Iron Sleigh bed, who was freed without injury. No injuries have been reported.

Consumers should keep young children away from these beds and contact The Land of Nod to arrange for the bed to be returned for a full merchandise credit. Consumers with models that do not have a label with the SKU number printed on it should contact the firm for assistance with identifying whether or not their bed is part of the recall. The Land of Nod is contacting its customers directly.
