The panels are red wall boxes measuring 22.7 inches high by 14.5 inches wide by 4.3 inches deep, with the word "BOSCH" printed on the right corner and the model number on the bottom left.

The recall is being issued because the control panels can fail to sound an alarm if a fire occurs when the alarm verification feature is turned on. Additionally, on systems with 50 or more reporting stations, a delay in sounding an alarm and reporting a fire may occur if the loop for the alarm system is broken. No injuries have been reported in connection with this defect.

Distributors and installers are being sent technical bulletins with instructions to implement a software change to correct the verification feature and handle warnings for affected systems.
