Victory Land Group Inc. is recalling Heritage Collection 3-in-1 drop-side cribs, model numbers 07-1248 and 07-1252, sold exclusively at Kmart stores nationwide from February 2007 through October 2008. Approximately 34,000 units were sold for about $130. The cribs were manufactured in Vietnam and are available in natural and white colors.

The recall is due to a hazard where the drop-side rail can malfunction, detach, or fail, creating a space between the drop side and the mattress. This gap can cause an infant or toddler to become entrapped, leading to strangulation or suffocation, or allowing a child to fall out of the crib. CPSC and Victory Land Group have received 17 reports of incidents involving drop-side rail detachments, including three cases where infants received bruises and abrasions to the neck, back, and legs after becoming entrapped.
