Airtex Design Group Inc. is recalling approximately 2,000 units of Roman Shades named "Weren't Built in a Day". These 100% cotton shades with black-out lining were sold exclusively by The Land of Nod stores in Illinois and Washington state, as well as through its catalog and website, from February 2007 through August 2009. The shades measure 36 or 48 inches wide by 63 inches long and feature a label on the lower right back stating "The Land of Nod" and "Made in China."

The recall is prompted by a risk of strangulation. This hazard can occur when a child places their neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the blind, or when a child pulls the cord out and wraps it around their neck. The CPSC reports that no injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

Consumers should immediately stop using these Roman shades. The Land of Nod will send free repair kits to all known consumers.
