Circus World Displays Limited is recalling Levana wireless video baby monitors, model number LV-TW300. The recall involves approximately 800 units sold at BB Buggy and Health and Safety stores nationwide and online between February 2010 and May 2010 for about $200. The monitors were manufactured in China.
The recall is due to a hazard where the wiring in the baby monitor camera can overheat and emit smoke, posing a burn hazard to consumers. Circus World Displays has received two reports of the camera portion of the monitors overheating and smoking. No injuries have been reported.
Consumers should immediately stop using the baby monitor and return it directly to Circus World Displays for a refund or replacement with a different model. When returning the product, consumers must include the entire product, their complete name, mailing address, and phone number in the package and mail it to Circus World Displays Ltd, Attention: Adam Crysler, Dealer Returns Specialist, 60 Industrial Parkway Suite Z64, Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
