Gorilla Inc. is recalling approximately 90 EXO-Tech Safety Harnesses used for hunting. The recall is due to a defect where the webbing of the waist belt is not routed through the lineman's loop on the front of the harness. Because the loops are attached only by stitching not intended to restrain a user during a fall, they can pull away when force is applied, leaving the user unrestrained.

The affected harnesses were sold at Cabelas, Bass Pro, and various sporting goods stores nationwide from May 2009 to August 2009 for about $200. The product features a long, black tether strap with gray and red accents, with "EXO-Tech" on the right front shoulder strap and "Gorilla" on the left front shoulder strap in white lettering. A white manufacturing label on the inside back of the harness displays model number 45111 and manufacturing dates of 4/22/2009 or 6/26/2009.
