These products were sold exclusively at Target stores and Target.com nationwide from September 2008 through June 2009 for between $15 and $40. The recalled shades measure about 64 inches long and feature a small sewn-in label on the back reading "home, Made in China."

The recall was issued because exposed operating cords can create a strangulation loop. Strangulation can occur if a child places their neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the blind, or if a child pulls the cord out and wraps it around their neck. The cords can also knot or tangle, creating a dangerous loop. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
