Fiesta Gas Grills is recalling approximately 47,000 Blue Ember liquid propane or natural gas outdoor grills. The recall involves specific model numbers FG50057 or FG50069 with serial numbers listed in the official notice. These grills were sold at various home centers and retailers nationwide from November 2007 through June 2008 for about $450.

The grills can be assembled improperly, which exposes the gas burner hoses to excessive heat. This defect poses fire and burn hazards to consumers. Fiesta has received 14 reports of grill fires, but no injuries have been reported.

Consumers should immediately stop using the grills and inspect the burner hoses to ensure they are properly assembled. If the hose is located to the rear of the installed heat shield, the grill has been improperly assembled. Consumers should contact Fiesta for replacement hoses, assembly instructions, and assistance in examining the grill if necessary.
