Battat Inc. is recalling approximately 125,000 Magnabild Magnetic Building Systems, specifically the 293-piece (item number BB1502H) and 180-piece (item number BB1431H) sets. These sets were sold at various retailers nationwide and online from 2005 through 2007 for between $30 and $40. The product consists of rotating display cases containing rods, curved rods, triangle and square pieces, and metal balls, with the word "Magnabild" in raised lettering on most plastic pieces.

The recall is due to a hazard where small magnets inside the building pieces can fall out. If young children swallow or aspirate these magnets, they can attract each other and cause intestinal perforations or blockages, which can be fatal. CPSC and Battat have received 16 reports of magnets coming out of the rods and corners of square building pieces, but no injuries have been reported.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled Magnabild Magnetic Building System away from children.
