The cribs were manufactured by Goodbaby Child Products Company Ltd. of China.
The recall is due to a hazard where bolts connecting the top corners of the crib can come loose, creating a gap that poses a serious entrapment and strangulation hazard. Bassettbaby has received 85 reports of bolts loosening, including one report of a 13-month-old child's hand becoming entrapped between the railings.
Consumers should stop using these cribs immediately and contact Bassettbaby at (888) 897-4689 between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. ET daily, or visit www.bassettbaby.com, to obtain a free repair kit. Affected units can be identified by specific purchase order numbers located at the bottom rail of the headboard.
