Spin Master Air Hogs RC Skywinder Toy Airplanes Recalled for Burn Hazard
Spin Master is recalling Air Hogs RC Skywinder radio-controlled airplanes sold at Toys R Us because the rechargeable battery pack can overheat and cause burns.

Spin Master Toys of Toronto, Canada, is recalling about 7,500 Air Hogs RC Skywinder radio-controlled airplanes. The recalled airplanes are lightweight, made of silver or black Styrofoam, and measure 19 inches from wingtip to wingtip. "Air Hogs Skywinder" is printed on the wings, and "©2003 Spin Master Ltd" is printed on the right propeller mount. The airplanes were sold exclusively at Toys R Us from April 2006 through June 2006 for about $40. A date code beginning with 06XXXXHM is located under the plane's propeller, on the outside of the controller unit, inside the controller's battery compartment, and on the charger unit's stand.
The rechargeable battery pack inside the toy airplane can overheat, posing a burn hazard. Spin Master has received 15 reports of the battery pack overheating, including two reports of minor skin burns.
