The guard rails can cause the choral risers to tip over under certain loading conditions, which poses a risk of injury from falling. Midwest Folding Products is aware of two incidents where guard rail-equipped risers tipped over; one of these incidents caused a minor injury to a child.

Owners of the affected choral riser sets have been contacted directly by Midwest Folding Products and provided with information on how to obtain a free repair kit.
