The hazard exists because the shelving units may be missing the wall mounting hardware required to attach them to the wall. Without this hardware, the units can tip over or fall, posing a risk of entrapment. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

The units were sold at Lidl US stores in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Georgia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York from June 2019 through May 2020 for between $20 and $25. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled shelving units if they do not have mounting hardware attaching them to the wall. They should contact Lidl for free mounting hardware or return the unit to Lidl for a full refund.
