Yamaha has not received reports of incidents or injuries involving the separation of the rear brake shoe material. Consumers who have not already responded to the recall should stop using their vehicles immediately and contact an authorized Yamaha dealer to schedule a free repair. Registered owners were notified by mail on October 1, 2004.
