The words "SOOTHER BABY PACIFIERS" are printed on the back of the cardboard packaging, which has a clear blister-bubble cover.

The pacifiers are banned under federal law because they failed federal safety tests. During these tests, the nipples separated from the base, which can pose a choking hazard to infants and small children. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled pacifiers were sold at gift shops, discount retail stores, and various Hispanic commercial retailers nationwide from March 2000 through January 2005 for between $0.50 and $1.00.
