Family Dollar Services, Inc. is recalling approximately 60,000 Durex Procraft outdoor extension cords. The recalled products are 25-foot green cords sold in blue and black packaging. An Underwriters Laboratories' label with code "E-174825" is attached to the cord, and the item UPC number 0 74972 01025 1 is located on the back of the package in the lower right-hand corner.

The recall was issued because the use of these extension cords could result in an electric shock or electrocution to consumers. The cords were manufactured by Royal United Corp. of North Bergen, N.J., and imported from China. They were sold at Family Dollar Stores nationwide from June 2003 through November 2003 for $3.00.

No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall. Consumers should stop using the recalled cords and return them to any Family Dollar Store for a refund.
