Plain-English summary
Grand Hall Enterprise Co. Ltd. is recalling approximately 50,000 Member's Mark® Gas Grills, model number Y0005XC-2. These grills were sold exclusively at Sam's Club stores from August 2000 through December 2001 for approximately $600. The recalled units feature stainless steel construction, four caster wheels, a side shelf, and a side burner.
The recall was issued because the bottom edge of the front control panel is sharp and can cause lacerations to the hands. Grand Hall has received four reports of consumers sustaining cuts or lacerations on their hands while moving the grill or reaching under the control panel.
Consumers should avoid contact with the bottom edge of the grill until it is repaired. Grand Hall will mail repair kits directly to all grill owners. Consumers who have not received a repair kit should call Grand Hall at (888) 735-5709 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit www.grandhall.com or www.samsclub.com.
