The recall addresses a defect where the nut securing the clutch shoe may come loose during operation. If the nut loosens, the clutch shoe can become loose on the crankshaft, potentially causing severe damage to the clutch wheel and crankshaft or causing the crankshaft to break. This failure interrupts power transfer from the engine to the transmission and drive wheels, which may leave the rider stranded away from their base of operation. No injuries have been reported in connection with this defect.
Consumers should contact their local Suzuki dealer to schedule an appointment for the ATV to be inspected and repaired at no cost.
