The recalled motors were sold directly through motor distributors or repair shops from October 1999 through August 2000 for about $95. Consumers should unplug the recalled motor, remove it from service, and contact the Dayton Motor Hotline at (888) 286-5220 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday for repair information. Notices have also been sent to known purchasers.
