Plain-English summary
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is recalling YERYORK-branded electric pressure washers. The recalled units are model YE-006, measuring approximately 10.24 inches deep, 16.14 inches wide, and 12.01 inches high. They are green with black accents and include a 500 ml foam cannon, four quick disconnect nozzles, a 32.81-foot hose, and four lockable wheels. The brand is printed on the front, and the model number is on a label near the handle.
The recall is due to a serious risk of injury or death from shock and electrocution. The pressure washers lack an integral ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI) and have an inadequate-length power cord. Only power washers without a GFCI are included in this recall. No injuries have been reported.
Approximately 300 units were sold on Amazon by YERYORK. Consumers should stop using the recalled pressure washers immediately. They should contact YERYORK for a full refund by emailing [email protected] or visiting the Product Recalls page on yeryork.com. Consumers are instructed to unplug the unit, destroy it by cutting the power cord in half, and send a photo of the destroyed power washer showing the model number to the provided email address before disposing of the product.
