Dynacraft Boys' Mountain Bicycles Recalled for Fork Breakage Risk

The bicycles are 20-inch, 21-speed, dual-suspension models with orange frames and model number 8536-33. They were sold for about $130 and are identified by labels near the crank housing reading "Distributed by Dynacraft Industries" and "Made in China."

The recall is due to a defect in the front-suspension forks, which can break during use. Dynacraft has received 33 reports of the forks breaking, resulting in 32 injuries. These injuries included a blood clot in the brain, broken bones, cuts, bruises, and chipped teeth. Bicycles with fork labels reading "Fork made Jan., 2000" or "Fork made July, 2000" are not included in this recall.
