Gymboree Recalls Children's Fleece Pants Due to Choking Hazard

The Gymboree Corp. is recalling about 125,000 children's fleece pants sold in sizes 0-3T. The recall is due to a hazard where the plastic cord locks on the pants can break off, posing a choking risk to young children.
The recalled pants feature blue, gray, red, or green pant legs with stitching around the knees, a gray elastic waistband, and a black elastic drawcord secured by two plastic cord locks. A label on the back pocket reads "Gymboree," and the care label inside states "Made in Indonesia" and "2000 Gymboree." Gymboree has received one report of a cord lock breaking off and being found in a child's mouth, which the parent removed; no injuries have been reported.
These pants were sold at Gymboree stores nationwide and on the company's website from September 2000 through February 2001 for about $15. Consumers should take these pants away from children immediately and return them to any Gymboree store for a full refund.
