Shelcore Inc. is recalling approximately 124,000 Stand-Up 'N Play Tables sold at toy stores nationwide from March 1996 through March 1999. The recall is due to a choking hazard associated with the mallet included in the play set. The mallet can become lodged in the throats of young children.

The company received a report that the mallet was jammed into the throat of a 13-month-old boy after he fell while teething on the ball end of the mallet. Lacerations in the throat resulted when an adult forcibly removed the mallet to prevent choking.
