Plain-English summary

S-B Power Tool Co. of Chicago, Illinois, is recalling about 920 BOSCH Angle Grinders, model 1752G7. The recall is due to some grinders being shipped without the side handle, a component used to control and guide the tool. Using the grinder without the side handle can cause consumers to lose control of the tool and be injured.

The recalled grinders are mainly teal blue and gray with a black power cord and were made in Germany. They were sold at mass merchandise, hardware, and home center stores nationwide from February 2000 through April 2000 for about $150. The model number is located on the side of the grinder, near the BOSCH name.

No injuries have been reported. Consumers should stop using the grinders immediately and check to see if the side handle is missing. If the handle is missing, consumers should call S-B Power Tool at (800) 241-3848 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. CT Monday through Friday to get a free side handle.
