The grinders are blue and silver with a black label and black and red control buttons, and "BOSCH" is printed in red on the side.

The grinders can overheat while in use, causing the brush covers to melt and expose the end of the brush holder. This condition poses a risk of burns to the consumer. The firm has received four reports of the grinders overheating, but no injuries have been reported.

The grinders were sold at Lowe's, Menards, The Home Depot, and other home improvement and hardware stores nationwide, as well as online at Amazon.com, HomeDepot.com, Lowes.com, and Menards.com, from March 2015 through November 2015. Prices ranged between $50 and $200 depending on the model and packaging.
