Traceback investigations indicated that three of these patients consumed the salad purchased on August 26, August 31, or September 2, 2016. Although no product has tested positive for this specific strain of Salmonella, clinical isolates from Washington State were found to be resistant only to tetracycline and susceptible to other common antibiotics.
Consumers who purchased this product on August 26, August 31, or September 2, 2016, are urged not to consume it. The product should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase. FSIS notes that some product may be frozen in consumers' freezers. Individuals concerned about an illness should contact their health care provider.
