Plain-English summary
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2025-2027 Lincoln Navigator vehicles. The recall addresses a defect in the Rear Audio Control Module (RACM), which may inadvertently command the chauffeur seat feature. This can cause the front passenger seat to adjust forward, rearward, or recline unexpectedly without occupant input.
A front passenger seat that moves unexpectedly can contact second-row passengers or force the front passenger into an unsafe seating position, increasing the risk of injury. The source does not report any illnesses, injuries, or deaths associated with this defect.
Dealers will update the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) and rear audio control module (RACM) software to disable chauffeur mode, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in November 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26S77. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on October 26, 2026.
