Nissan North America, Inc. is recalling certain 2024 and 2025 Nissan Rogue vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L variable compression turbo engines. The electronic throttle body assembly in these vehicles contains gears that may break.
If the throttle body gears break, the engine may lose power while the vehicle is being driven. This loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Approximately 318,782 vehicles are affected by this recall. Owners received notification letters by mail starting April 8, 2026.
Dealers will reprogram the engine control module software and inspect the throttle body assembly, replacing it if necessary. This repair will be done free of charge. Vehicle owners can contact Nissan customer service at 800-647-7261 or visit NHTSA.gov to check if their vehicle is affected using the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Nissan's internal recall numbers for this campaign are R25E2, R25E3, and R25A9.
