Ford Bronco rear shock absorbers can corrode and shed their reservoirs

Ford is recalling certain 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles because the rear shock absorbers may corrode and fail, causing the external reservoir to detach and become a road hazard.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 4 covers structural vehicle defects: corrosion failure of a rear suspension component causes part of it to detach from the moving vehicle.
