2021 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator powertrain control software recall
Chrysler is recalling certain 2021 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles due to a powertrain control module software defect that may cause engine stall, resulting in loss of drive power and increased crash risk.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021 Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator vehicles that were previously remedied under NHTSA recall number 23V-116. The powertrain control module software in these vehicles may cause an unexpected engine stall, which results in a loss of drive power.
A loss of drive power increases the risk of a motor vehicle crash. Owners of affected vehicles previously repaired under recall 23V-116 will need the new remedy completed.
Dealers will update the powertrain control module software at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 15, 2024.
