Ford Mustang steering wheel can turn against the driver's intentions
Ford is recalling certain 2022-2023 Mustang vehicles because an improperly calibrated secondary steering torque sensor can make the steering wheel turn side to side on its own.
What this means for you
Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.
Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 4 covers structural vehicle defects: unintended steering input takes directional control away from the driver, which the source states can cause a loss of vehicle control.
