Ford Super Duty steering column upper shaft can detach

Ford is recalling certain 2020-2021 F-250, F-350 and F-450 vehicles because the steering column upper shaft may detach from the steering column, causing a loss of steering control.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 4 covers structural vehicle defects: separation of the steering column upper shaft is a structural failure that the source states causes a loss of steering control.
