Sunlight exposure may cause the air brake tubing to crack and burst under pressure. This defect causes the equipment to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 106, "Brake Hoses." An air brake tube that bursts can result in a loss of braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash.

ATP will replace the air brake tubing free of charge. Customer notification letters were mailed on December 17, 2024. Customers may contact ATP customer service at 1-937-349-4055 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
