Fuel pump failure recall for 2013-2023 Honda and Acura vehicles

Certain earlier model years of these vehicles are also included. This recall also applies to 2015-2020 Honda Accord Hybrid and 2018-2019 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid vehicles.

The fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail in affected vehicles. A failed fuel pump can cause the engine to stall while driving, significantly increasing the risk of a motor vehicle crash.

Owners whose vehicles are affected will receive a notification letter. Honda dealers will replace the fuel pump module free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 6, 2024. Owners can contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138 to schedule the repair. Honda's recall numbers for this defect are KGC and KGD. This recall expands on NHTSA recall numbers 21V-215 and 20V-314.
